Joseph: The Spirit King

Holding on to my pain

Relishing the pleasures of the past

Contrasting ideals for evening tea time

Lost sense of self, in a realm of spirits

Torture the living and the dead

And meager excuses will fade

As I descend into the realm of mortal men

I bring foreign emotions

A punishment so inhumane

That only spirits praise me

They acknowledge my presence

And celebrate my glory

But the humans are left in a daze

In a quick moment before their deaths

Even the few who receive mercy

Curse my name

But I don’t regret my actions

Because I serve spirits, not men.
