Every few hundred years
or perhaps a thousand,
there is a trial period for those goddesses
who ruled supreme.
A time in which they are forced to live
amongst those who dwell beneath them,
to understand their pain and joy,
to become a better soul,
though it often backfired.
And they desired the heavens
No more.
